Green Renovations

There has never been a better time to use energy-saving options to renovate the home. The federal government and many states are offering rebates and tax incentives to homeowners who renovate using green designs. By framing the walls and putting in insulation and vapor seal the homeowner can expect to get up to an R-15 value which will cut down the heat costs considerable. Drywalling and finishing the basement can gain a bonus area which can be used as an entertainment area or home theater. This can also be accomplished with an attached garage or other spare room.
