A Moving Experience - The "Home" Stretch

No matter how many you have - it seems like you can never get enough boxes. In fact, we have boxes, we have bins, we have bags - we have just about gone out of our minds. With less than one week until closing, the push is on to get everything packed. It seems like we started months ago, and I continually wonder where all this "stuff" comes from. Perhaps it is that I box something up, then put it into a bigger box with other small boxed-up items. Or perhaps it is that we have way too much stuff!

At any rate, I think we've made real progress. We are renting a storage unit that is about a mile from where our new house is - and since we have to drive by it 4 times a week to drop-off and pick-up our daughter at pre-school, this has seems to be working out really well. It does amaze me that we have almost filled a 10 x 15 unit, and there is only one small Armoire for furniture in the whole thing. Everything else is bins, boxes, bags, bikes and baubles.

I spent part of the day today contacting the utility companies to get services switched over - hopefully the lights will be on at the very least! Not sure why the cable company takes so long to switch info over. I was on a live chat with the customer service rep for at least 45 minutes, and that was after I spent 10 minutes filling out the online forms - just what is that all about, exactly?!
