Hunter Douglas makes a shade that has insulating honeycombs within it. They can be pretty pricey (about $150 for 36" x 60") but that beats the heck out of $300-$700 for a new window. Plus they're not really any more expensive then other high quality blinds. They claim to triple the effectiveness of a standard double-pane window. I haven't tried them yet but I'm seriously considering it since I need new shades in my living room anyway. I might as well splurge a little.
