Finding small furniture

I saw the idea in the Furniture Finds blog about looking in different departments (kids, patio) to find smaller furniture. Does anyone have expamples of how they've done this?

I found these great little plant stands at Michael's one spring. I uses them as tables. They are taller that normal end tables so they work great with my furniture that has high arms. And it's just large enough to put a coaster and a small lamp. Perfect.
