Freecycle!

When ever I upgrade something and need to get rid of the old stuff, I give it away. Locally I work with freecycle or craigslist under free in your area.. You would be surprise how many people need the stuff your through with. Or how quick they can pick it up. Most of the time I just need the space. I dont need the object. But I watch, at least in my neigborhood, people throw perfectly great peices of furniture, art, bikes, etc. Why not? Even if you really need the room. post a message on free on craigslist next time you just want to throw something out. I have given away some entertaiment centers, a perfect dryer, a dog house, even some fish rock. you would be surprised what others may need. If you dont feel comfortable meeting strangers meet in a grocery store parking lot somewhere close. That is what I did when I first started this. I found out that I run out of friends or relatives who want these things. And they are still very use able just not for me anymore. And then one day if you are in need of something and just cant seem to get your hand on it, ask someone if they have one laying around. clean out that closet of unused stuff. and if your like me, you'll never sell it at the yard sale. just have someone else who needs it pick it up. you will have less clutter. and you will be helping someone else out! Do be careful though. and safe with who you will meet up with.. I have even had people leave things on porch for me. I never met them until they needed that item back and switched it out for another larger size. It worked out for all of us. good luck
